The 42nd Border Ladies’ Open Amateur Championship was won by 14-year old Michaela Fletcher, one stroke ahead of SA Amateur Stroke Play Champion Yvette du Plessis.

Playing off a five handicap, the East London junior carded 152 (76, 76) on the 73 par West Bank course when the event was played on Sunday 7 March. du Plessis carded 153 (76, 77) while another junior from Queenstown, Elise Strutt finished in third place on 157 (78, 79).

The match play championship is being played this week.
