Higgo targets Sanlam SA Amateur

Boland junior Garrick Higgo believes that the time has come to end the foreign dominance in the Sanlam South African Amateur Championship. When Craig Ross won last year, his was the second successive victory by a Scottish golfer and the fourth win for Scotland in the last six editions of the South African Golf Association’s flagship event, but Higgo believes South Africa has the depth of talent to win the premier international championship, which tees off at Humewood Golf Club on Sunday.

SA duo in running for Junior Presidents Cup

GolfRSA national squad members Garrick Higgo and Luca Filippi are both in the running for the Junior Presidents Cup from 25-26 September 2017. According to the selection and eligibility criteria for the inaugural event, Higgo from Boland and Filippi from Western Province are respectively third and eighth in the official International Team Standings that were announced this morning.

Meet Magnificent Kajal Mistry

Randpark golfer Kajal Mistry rounded off a sensational season last year with victory in the KwaZulu-Natal Junior Championships and befitting the country’s top ranked player, she began 2017 in fitting fashion with a magnificent performance in the Liberty GNGU Junior Girls Open earlier this month. We caught up with Kajal during her debut at the SA Women’s Open and discovered some of the things that drive South Africa’s top ranked senior and junior golfer.
