Kim Williams will accompany Yvette du Plessis to The Spirit, being played at Whispering Pines in Texas from 5 – 8 November, WGSA President Erica Lefson announced at the WGSA 72 hole championship prize-giving in East London last week. The team will also include two men to be named by the SAGA in due course. Erica Lefson will manage the team.

Teenager Bonita Bredenhann, playing for North West, but resident in Namibia, scored three eagles and two birdies in her third round 68, which also included a double drop.

A four-under-par 69 took Rustenburg teenager Bertine Strauss to a four shot lead at the half-way stage of the WGSA 72 Hole Teams Championship. The event was played in near-perfect conditions at East London Golf Club on Tuesday 26 May.
