Eastern Cape’s Tanya Tibshraeny recorded convincing wins on her way to victory in the Border match play championship played at East London Golf Club this week. Lauren Bekker, runner-up in the stroke play, was once again the bridesmaid when she lost 6/5 in the final to Tanya.
Border Stroke Play Champion Pam Hayward
KwaZulu Natal’s Pam Hayward won the Border Championships played at East London Golf Club on Sunday 8 March, two strokes ahead of Lauren Bekkker from Gauteng.
There were times during his professional career when Ryan Dreyer played matches at his club for money to supplement his income on tour. He rarely lost, and at Benoni Country Club on Friday, the 36-year-old reinstated amateur drew on that experience to win the Glacier SA Amateur Championship.

The South African Golf Association (SAGA) issued a tender document (on Monday 23rd February 2009) in which it calls for interested companies to tender for the business of managing and administering its Handicapping and Course Rating System in partnership with SAGA.
They are separated by 15 years in age and are at vastly different stages in their careers. But Adrian Ford and Ryan Dreyer share one thing in common in that both are through to their first Glacier SA Amateur match play final at Benoni Country Club on Friday.
