Adrian Ford signed for a final round of a 73, one over par, today finishing with a 72 hole aggregate of 289, one over par, and in so doing wins the prestigious Freddie Tait Trophy as the leading amateur in the South African Open Championship.

The team from Boland won the 2008 Nomads Junior Inter-Provincial played at Royal Durban Golf Club. The five day competition concluded on Friday 12th December 2008.
The entries have closed on the strongest field in South African Open Championship history, with three Major champions, four current Ryder Cup players, and six of South Africa’s top players set to tee it up at Pearl Valley Golf Estates from December 18-21.
