Solid start for SA in Olympic Team’s Event

The South African team are well placed after the first round of the Mixed Gender Team Event at the Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China.
Notwithstanding the very wet conditions at the Zhongshan International Golf Club, Kyle McClatchie and Kaleigh Telfer combined for an opening seven-under-par 65 to finish in sixth place.

Snyman snags Southern Cape Open

Durbanville golfer Ian Snyman edged out Limpopo junior Hennie du Plessis to claim the Southern Cape Open at Mossel Bay Golf Club on Sunday.
The victory came exactly two years after the 19-year-old Province golfer was leading the same event, but was pipped at the post by a birdie finish from Sipho Bujela at George Golf Club.

Arnoldi hits the front at Mossel Bay

Ekurhuleni’s NJ Arnoldi blistered the back nine at Mossel Bay Golf Club to take a one shot lead in the first round of the Southern Cape Open on Friday. The 22-year-old Nigel golfer reeled in five birdies on his way to a five-under-par 67 to edge Aaron Russell from Western Province into second.
