GolfRSA Squad named for United Kingdom Tour

GolfRSA has announced a team of GolfRSA National Squad players to take part in its annual tour to the United Kingdom this June.
The team of 10 will participate in various top-ranked international tournaments over a four-week stretch, including the Carrick Neill Scottish Men’s Open Championship, the St Andrews Links Trophy and the British Amateur Championship.

McClatchie romps to 7-shot Big Easy win

He probably sealed the deal with his three birdies in the opening nine at Killarney Golf Club, but there was more to GolfRSA National Squad player Kyle McClatchie’s win in the season-opening Sunshine Big Easy Tour event there.
He started the day with a four-stroke edge over the other amateur in the field, Slade Pickering, and, despite bogeys on 10 and 13, he signed for a three-under 67 to finish up with a seven-stroke margin over Maritz Wessels, who carded the low round of that day with a four-under 66.

James gives chase in SA Mid-Am at Sun City

Elton James from Western Province is in an excellent position to avenge his 2015 loss after he came within striking distance of first round leader Derek Scullard in the suspended South African Mid-Amateur Stroke Play Championship at Sun City on Tuesday.
