SAGA teams announced
DURBAN (4 March 2008) – The South African Amateur Golf Association (SAGA) announced its team for the Zone VI Championship as well as the squad for the World Amateur Team Championship at Royal Durban Golf Club on Tuesday.
In qualifying for the teams, players had to compete in at least two coastal and two inland tournaments, one of which had to be the SA Stroke Play, Glacier SA Amateur, Northern Amateur or Cape Province Championship.
DURBAN (3 March 2008) – Wales won the International Teams Event as the forerunner to the Glacier SA Amateur Championship at Royal Durban Golf Club on Monday.
DURBAN (3 March 2008) – Bloemfontein’s Louis Calitz claimed South African amateur golf’s prestigious Proudfoot Trophy after winning the 36-hole stroke play qualifier for the Glacier SA Amateur Championship at Royal Durban Golf Club on Monday.
