SA teams primed for new-look Zone VI

Four of the country’s top ranked amateurs and four of its most promising rising stars will represent South Africa in the Africa Zone VI Golf Tournament in Swaziland, which tees off at Royal Swazi Spa Country Club from 13-15 April 2016.
NATIONAL TEAM (Top): Dylan Naidoo, Marco Steyn, Tristen Strydom, team manager South African Golf Association Acting Second-Vice President Martin Saaiman and James du Preez.
PRESIDENTS TEAM (Bottom): Sentanio Minnie, Aneurin Gounden, team manager Eastern Province Golf Union Director of Golf Greg de Doncker, Steven le Roux and Franklin Manchest.

Province ready to pursue more Indwe SA IPT glory

Western Province will be looking to extend their incredible INDWE SA Senior Amateur Inter-Provincial record when the 28th edition of the prestigious senior team championship tees off from 12-15 April.
The Seniors and Super Seniors teams are champing at the bit to exert their dominance at this year’s matches at the Wanderers Golf Club after last year’s double A-Section celebration at the Ebotse Links.

Final Four decided at SA Boys U-19

Garrick Higgo will continue his hunt for a third victory this season after newly-minted Stroke Play champion Deon Germishuys gave him free passage into the semi-finals in the Nomads SA Boys U-19 Championship at Bloemfontein Golf Club.
The Strand golfer battled bravely over the first four holes, but was forced to concede his quarter-final match due to a stomach ailment.

Ekurhuleni trio chasing Duminy at Dowrie Farm

Southern Cape’s Jordon Duminy hit the front on day two of the South African U-15 Challenge, but the young gun will have to hold off a hungry threesome from Ekurhuleni – Liam van Deventer, Yurav Premlall and Casey Jarvis – to claim victory at Dowrie Farm Golf Estate on Friday.
