Naidoo claims Nomads SA Boys U-19 Stroke Play

Less than nine months since he won the Nomads SA Boys U-17 Stroke Play at Polokwane Golf Club, 17-year-old Dylan Naidoo from Fourways claimed a seven stroke victory in the Nomads SA Boys U-19 Stroke Play Championship at the same venue.
The Central Gauteng junior carded a final round 69 to triumph on 15-under-par 273, while defending champion Tristen Strydom finished a distant second after closing with a 75.

Southern Cape’s Jovan Rebula and Marco Steyn from Central Gauteng share the midway lead in the prestigious Nomads SA Boys U-19 Stroke Play Championship in Limpopo.
Rebula mixed eight gains with three bogeys for a 67 while Steyn notched five birdies and a solitary bogey for a second successive round of 68 at Polokwane Golf Club on Tuesday.

Germishuys under threat from Steyn in Polokwane

Western Province’s Deon Germishuys produced a flawless five-under-par 67 at Polokwane Golf Club on Monday to lead the first round in the Nomads SA Boys U-19 Stroke Play Championship.
However, the 15-year-old Strand golfer has a host of top juniors breathing down his neck, including Marco Steyn from Central Gauteng, who scored two eagles on his way to a four under 68 to finish within a stroke of the leader in the prestigious event.

Strydom leads SA Boys U-19 action in Polokwane

Top ranked Tristen Strydom will lead the country’s young amateurs into battle at the prestigious Nomads SA Boys U-19 Championship at Polokwane Golf Club in the Limpopo province this week.
Strydom is targeting the rare double and hopes to emulate Richard Sterne (1999), Dylan Frittelli (2008) and Piet Retief player Zander Gous, who became only the third junior golfer in the 25-year history of the event to lift both titles at Benoni Country Club in 2013.
