Pretoria University student Mareli Joubert won the 54 Hole Free State and Northern Cape Championship Esther Cutler Trophy played at Bloemfontein Golf Club on the weekend of 2 and 3 May. With rounds of 72, 70 and 74 on 216 she was three strokes ahead of Kim Williams on 219 and Connie Chen and Nicole Carlse tied in third place on 220.

South Africa increased her lead to 21 over Swaziland after the second round of the RAACT with Pam Hayward and Asheigh Holmes shooting one-over par 72s at the Nkonyeni Golf Estate today.

Assisted by an eagle, Pam Hayward shot a one over par 72 to take South Africa into the lead on day 1 of he Regional All Africa Challenge Trophy being played at the Nkonyeni Golf Estate in Manzini.
The WGSA Executive has announced that teams have been allocated to two divisions prior to the 72 Hole Teams Championship which will be played at East London Golf Club from 24 to 27 May 2009.
