LET joy for Williams and Dlamini

Africa’s numbers on the Ladies European Tour got a significant boost as South Africa’s two top ranked amateurs, Kim Williams and Nobuhle Dlamini from Swaziland, as well as Bonita Bredenhann from Namibia clinched their full cards for 2014 in the final round of the Lalla Aicha Tour School Final Qualifying in Morocco.

Garcia joins Williams, Dlamini at LET Q-School

Ekurhuleni’s Nicole Garcia celebrated her 23rd birthday in high spirits on Wednesday, after successfully crossing the first hurdle in her campaign to secure a card for the 2014 Ladies European Tour. The country’s number four ranked amateur claimed a top 10 finish at one of three pre-qualifying events to make the field for the ultimate test, Final Stage of the Lalla Aicha Tour School this weekend.

Telfer claims wire-to-wire win at KZN Junior Champs

Bryanston’s Kaleigh Telfer showed a lot of guts, grit and determination to complete a wire-to-wire victory at the KwaZulu-Natal Junior Championship at Selborne Golf Club at the weekend. The 15-year-old carded rounds of 75-74-75 to beat local favourite Michaela Fletcher by nine shots for the title, barely two weeks after she defeated SA number one Kim Williams for the Mpumalanga Championship.
