Lara Weinstein and Izel Pieters return to South Africa today, only to return to the USA in two weeks. They have been invited to compete in the annual Annika Invitational to be played at the Reunion Resort in Florida from 13 to 16 January where will be accompanied by their fathers, Deryck Weinstein and Koos Pieters.

Connie wrote to WGSA sending good wishes for the festive season and confirmed that she has full exemption on the Ladies European Tour in 2012.
Lora Assad played a third consecutive round of 77 at the Gate American Junior Masters to finish best of the SA girls tied seventh on +15 (231). Austrian Marina Stutz increased her lead with a fine one under 71 in the final round to win the event on +2, 218 (74, 73, 71).
The boys’ championship was won by USA’s Cody Proveaux on -5 211 (68, 74, 69) with SA’s Haydn Porteus in eighth position on +1 217 (74, 74, 69).
Top SA junior, Lara Weinstein is tied sixth on the leader board at +8 going into the final round of the Gate Junior Masters being played at Ponte Vedra in Florida, USA. The leader is Austrian Marina Stutz on +3. And in the boys’ competition the leading South African is Haydn Porteus, tied 14th on +4.
