Izel tied 11th with Michaela at Harder

South Africa’s Izel Pieters carded a one-under par (75, 71 – 146) and is now lying tied 11th with fellow South African, Michaela Fletcher (74, 72 – 146) after round two of the Harder German Junior Masters. The event is being played at the Golfclub Gut Neuzenhof at Heddersheim, Germany.

Izel, Lara and Michaela tee off in Germany

South Africa’s top three Junior Girls tee off today in round 1 of the Harder German Junior Masters, being played at Golfclub Gut Neuzenhof, Heddesheim in Germany. After their practice round yesterday (Monday), the three, Izel Pieters, Lara Weinstein and Michaela Fletcher are ready to compete in this prestigious international junior tournament. They are accompanied by WGSA President Cynthia Rayner.

Lara wins in Durban

Top SA Junior Lara Weinstein continued her recent good form to win the Durban Regional Championships played at Mount Edgecombe Country Club yesterday. Playing in superb KZN winter weather with only a slight breeze off the sea, the teenager returned a four over 148 to win the event by two strokes from Alana van Greuning. In third place was Kloof CC’s Kate Brett-Castle on 158. Lara is pictured here with KZN President Molly Whitaker.

Kim Williams picks up double on home turf

Continuing the form displayed at the Astor Trophy when she won all her singles matches and defeated the world number one amateur in the world, Kim Williams lifted the Gauteng North Match Play Trophy yesterday, having won the Stroke Play Trophy earlier in the week.
