Steyn claims hat-trick with Nomads Champs victory

Modderfontein junior Marco Steyn launched another come-from-behind assault to chase down his third victory of the season at the Nomads National Order of Merit Championship at Silver Lakes Golf Estate on Wednesday.
The 16-year-old Central Gauteng golfer fired a four-under-par 68 to reel in overnight leader Keegan de Lange and claim a two stroke victory on one under 143.

Tuks in early control at USSA Championship

The defending champions got off to a fast start as expected, but unlike last year, it was the University of Pretoria B-team who stole the thunder in the first round of the annual USSA (University Sport South Africa) Championships at Koro Creek Golf Estate on Monday.
Zabastian de Jager and David Nortje opened with a pair of 72s and Ryan Lane contributed a 73 to push the B-side in pole position at 217 in the Teams Stroke Play Qualifier.

Naidoo triumphs at Nomads SA Boys U-17 Champs

Central Gauteng junior Dylan Naidoo held off a spirited charge from Boland’s Herman Loubser to claim the Nomads SA Boys Under-17 Stroke Play Championship at Polokwane Golf Club on Thursday.
The 16-year-old Modderfontein golfer carried the momentum gained from three consecutive rounds of 71 into the final round. Two birdies and 16 pars added up to a two-under-par 70 and a one stroke victory on five under 211.

Naidoo the man to beat at Nomads SA Boys U-17

TuksSport High School’s Dylan Naidoo remains the man to beat after the Nomads SA Boys Under-17 Stroke Play Championship reached the 54-hole mark at Polokwane Golf Club on Wednesday.
Naidoo overturned two bogeys to come home in 71 strokes for a third successive round and the 16-year-old Central Gauteng tops the leaderboard at three-under-par 213.
