While the South African rugby public still mourns the Springbok defeat at the World Cup, the country’s top four amateur golfers are even more determined to score a victory for South Africa in the Four Nations Cup in New Zealand this week.

There were a lot of doubting Thomas’s when Central Gauteng arrived at the 51st South African Inter-Provincial at Bloemfontein Golf Club with two bankers and six rookies, but this youthful side proved that the will to win is often enough.

Central Gauteng may have gained a slight edge over Gauteng North in this morning foursome’s but it is still all to play for at the South African Inter Provincial at Bloemfontein Golf Club.

The Western Province expects Central Gauteng to come at them strongly after this morning’s fourth round foursomes went the way of the young upstarts who are chasing their first South African Inter-Provincial title since 2006.

It was a day of upsets and jostling for position as the Western Province got their groove back, the match between Central Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal ended in a stalemate and Gauteng North drew a bold line under their intention to win this year’s South African Inter-Provincial at Bloemfontein Golf Club.

Western Province launched a comeback, Gauteng North maintained their winning form, Central Gauteng squandered a possible whitewash and Free State and Northern Cape hit back in the morning foursomes on day three of the South African Inter-Provincial at Bloemfontein Golf Club.

At the end of round two at the 51^st South African Inter-Provincial, a satisfied Gauteng North team celebrated a decisive victory over KwaZulu-Natal by settling in the ladies locker room at Bloemfontein Golf Club for a bit of physiotherapy.
