It may have taken a lot more effort than they planned for, but defending champions Central Gauteng and host union Ekurhuleni got the job done and joined Southern Cape as the early frontrunners in the first round of the 55th South African Inter-Provincial, sponsored by Tempest, at Glendower Golf Club on Monday.

Central Gauteng geared for SA IPT defence

Defending champions Central Gauteng will lead the A-Section charge in the 55th South African Inter-Provincial, sponsored by Tempest Car Hire, at Glendower Golf Club from 21 – 25 September.
While history and form favour the side who struck gold for a record 27th time last year, the defending champions are taking nothing for granted in their opening match on Monday.

Smith takes last spot in Glacier Series Final

The Glacier Junior Series wrapped up its qualifying tournaments with the Compleat Golfer Tournament at Humewood Golf Club on Sunday. The A Division title went to Humewood’s own Jacques Smith, who won by two strokes with a round of 76. Smith will be playing in his third National Final.

SA duo sign off with solid performances in Kent

South Africa’s Dylan Naidoo tied for 14th in the 2015 Duke of York Young Champions Trophy, while compatriot Ivanna Samu claimed a runner-up finish in the Girls Competition and finished ninth overall in the prestigious international junior championship at Prince’s Golf Club in England on Friday.
