The Japanese Junior team blew all their opposition away on the final day of the Junior Golf World Cup when they recorded a final day team score of 206 (7 under) and a tournament team total of 822 (30 under). Their nearest competition, the USA, ended 14 strokes behind them on 836 (16 under).
Japan returned a second day in a row team total of 8 under par 205 to stretch their lead to 6 shots with one round to play at the Junior Golf World Cup at the Chukyo Golf Club in Toyoto city, Japan.
The South African Junior Golf team started the day and remained in 6th place as the team recorded a second round total of 214 (1 over). Scores of 68 (3 under), 72 (1 over) and 74 (3 over) from Stone, Bruyns and Jerling respectively, counted towards the team score for the day. Porteous continuing to struggle with his game signing for a 76 (5 over) to go with his first round 74 (3 over).
